Construction MEP Engineer

Our client, a leading global technology and cloud infrastructure organization, is seeking a Construction MEP Engineer to join their team. As a Construction MEP Engineer, you will be part of the Data Center Development team supporting construction management, engineering, and project delivery teams. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Construction MEP Engineer

Location: Des Moines, IA (Onsite)

Pay Range: $84 - $90

What’s the Job?

• Provide onsite mechanical engineering support for large-scale data center construction projects and ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve design conflicts, RFIs, and technical issues.
• Inspect mechanical systems installation, including HVAC and cooling infrastructure, to verify quality and adherence to project standards.
• Support project delivery objectives related to safety, quality, schedule, and cost management.
• Collaborate with building automation and commissioning teams to ensure successful startup and operation of critical facility systems.

What’s Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 10+ years of engineering or construction experience, preferably within mission-critical facilities or data centers.
• Strong expertise in HVAC systems, cooling technologies, and mechanical infrastructure.
• Experience integrating mechanical systems with Building Automation Systems (BAS).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
