Android Test Automation Engineer

Our client, a leading technology innovator in the software development industry, is seeking a dedicated Android Test Automation Engineer to join their dynamic team. As an Android Test Automation Engineer, you will be part of the Applied Sciences Group supporting the Project Solara initiative. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, collaborative spirit, and a passion for quality assurance, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Android Test Automation Engineer

Location: Redmond, WA - Onsite

Pay Range: $45 - $49.hr On Experis W2 (Benefits/401k/PTO)

 

What's the Job?

• Develop, maintain, and expand automated test suites for Android applications to enhance reliability and product quality.
• Maintain and operate a physical Android device test lab, including device provisioning, configuration, and software updates.
• Partner with senior engineers to integrate tests within automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines, improving test reliability.
• Identify coverage gaps, contribute to test planning, and prioritize regression testing based on product telemetry and changes.
• Troubleshoot product and test issues by reproducing defects, analyzing logs, crash data, and telemetry, supporting release readiness.

What's Needed?

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on test automation.
• 1+ years of experience with Android Test Automation, including provisioning and configuring physical devices.
• Ability to independently drive technical work and deliver value with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in Android/Kotlin, C++, or other strongly-typed programming languages.
• Hands-on experience working with device provisioning, on-device automation, and automation frameworks.
