Vehicle Packaging Engineer

Our client, a leader in the automotive industry, is seeking a Vehicle Packaging Engineer to join their team. As a Vehicle Packaging Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Vehicle Packaging Engineer

Location: Windsor, ON

What's the Job?

• Manage packaging criteria and bogey models to support feasible CDD (Conceptual Digital Data) surface development.
• Support PDO (Product Design Office) clay properties, mock-ups, and spaciousness property builds, coordinating fabrication and modeling staff.
• Provide milling/SLA data for clay model milling and rapid prototype parts.
• Chair weekly working-level meetings to ensure project alignment and progress.
• Manage cross-functional team requirements, including ASME, AME, VI, HMI, Safety & BCIW, ensuring project milestones are met.

• Experience in vehicle packaging or related engineering fields.
• Strong understanding of digital and physical modeling processes.
• Excellent communication and team coordination skills.
• Ability to challenge engineering requirements to achieve aesthetic goals.
• Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations.
