Analytical R&D Technician

Our client, in consumer packaged cleaning goods industry is seeking an Analytical R&D Technician to join their team.  The ideal candidate will have analytical chemistry and its related technologies (such as LC, GC, FTIR, and wet chemistry techniques), as well as some understanding of microbiological principles and aseptic techniques, and even more important than technical skills, someone who is calm, patient and flexible.
 
Job Title: Analytical R&D Technician
Location: Montvale, NJ (Fully Onsite)
Contract: 6 Months (extension possible)
Pay Range: $28 - $30

What’s the Job?

• Perform analytical testing of product samples using chromatography (LC/GC), spectroscopy, and other laboratory techniques.
• Support surface treatment research, including analysis and measurement of active compounds on treated surfaces.
• Conduct studies to evaluate product performance, functionality, and efficacy for new product development initiatives.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering accurate results and clear technical communication within established timelines.
• Maintain high standards for data integrity, laboratory documentation, regulatory compliance, and instrument readiness

• BS/BA in Chemistry or related field with 0-2 years of relevant work experience in an R&D analytical laboratory setting.
• Basic understanding of analytical chemistry and its related technologies, such as LC, GC, FTIR, and wet chemistry techniques.
• Work will include an emphasis on wet chemistry techniques and use of fine motor skills.
• Basic understanding of microbiological principles, aseptic techniques, and laboratory safety practices.
• Quick learner who can work independently, adapt to changing study priorities, and maintain strong attention to detail.
• Need someone calm, patient and flexible
