Our client, a leading organization in the consumer packaged goods industry, is seeking a Packaging R&D Specialist to join their team. As a Packaging R&D Specialist, you will be part of the Packaging Research & Development department supporting a collaborative and innovative team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, leadership qualities, and adaptability, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Packaging R&D Specialist
Location: South Burlington, VT (hybrid 3 days a week on site)
Pay Range: $25 to $35 p/h on w-2
Duration: 18 months with the possibility of extension/conversion
What's the Job?
- Lead and manage the end-to-end execution of packaging development and transformation activities.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, manufacturing facilities, and suppliers to coordinate packaging trials, testing, and validation activities.
- Develop, update, and maintain packaging specifications and technical documentation.
- Support packaging-related supply chain and manufacturing initiatives.
- Execute packaging and engineering test plans, analyze results, and provide recommendations.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Packaging Science, or a relevant technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of packaging experience within a consumer packaged goods (CPG/FMCG) environment.
- Experience supporting packaging specifications, testing, and supply chain activities.
- Strong knowledge of packaging materials, including flexible packaging, paper cups and lids, and corrugated packaging.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, CAPE/TOPS, and packaging specification management systems.
