Our client, a leading organization in the medical device industry, is seeking a Medical Device Design Engineer to join their team. As an Medical Device Design Engineer, you will be part of the Product Development Department supporting innovative medical device projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Medical Device Design Engineer
Location: San Antonio, TX (100% on site)
Pay Range: $20 to $25 on W-2
Duration $12 month contract
What's the Job?
- Engage with cross-disciplinary teams to support medical device projects from concept through validation.
- Participate in product/process change submissions, cost reduction research, and failure investigations.
- Create specifications for device components, assemblies, packaging, and labeling.
- Work closely with manufacturing and other engineering teams to ensure designs are optimized for production.
- Analyze test data, perform engineering analyses, and generate detailed technical reports to verify design performance.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or similar disciplines.
- At least 3 years of experience in the Medical Device industry.
- Experience with regulated design environments such as FDA or ISO standards is a plus.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and Project.
