Quality Assurance Manager

Our client, a custom-engineered process equipment manufacturer, is seeking a Full Time (Permanent) Quality Assurance Manager to join their team. As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will be part of the Quality organization supporting production and engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, a deep understanding of regulated manufacturing quality, and a drive to continuously improve processes to ensure products are safe, reliable, and code compliant.

Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager (Full time/Permanent)  

Location: South Holland, IL (On-site or willing to relocate) 

Pay Range: $90,000 - $115, 000 (commensurate with experience) 

What's the Job?

• Lead the QA/QC team and oversee inspections, test results, and quality verification activities across the product lifecycle.
• Maintain, administer, and continuously improve the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, including the Quality Manual, procedures, work instructions, and forms.
• Serve as the Management Representative for ISO audits by planning and leading internal audits, coordinating third-party surveillance and recertification audits, and ensuring timely closure of audit findings.
• Maintain the ASME Quality Control Manual and lead triennial ASME Joint Reviews to retain U, UM, and R stamp authorizations; coordinate with the Authorized Inspector and the National Board requirements.
• Manage quality issues end-to-end by resolving nonconformances, driving corrective actions (CAPA), handling customer complaints and warranty investigations, and ensuring complete documentation packages for customer turnover.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience in code fabrication quality.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive quality experience within metal fabrication, pressure vessels, piping, precision machining, or related manufacturing environments.
• Minimum of 3 years of leadership or management experience supervising QA/QC teams.
• Hands-on experience implementing, maintaining, and auditing ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems, including internal audits and corrective action programs.
• Strong knowledge of root cause analysis and CAPA methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone) with excellent documentation and communication skills.
