Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Middle Office Trade Operations Analyst to join their team. As a Middle Office Trade Operations Analyst you will be part of the Global Investment Operations department supporting the Middle Office Trade Management team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to process improvement, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Middle Office Trade Operations Analyst
Location: Baltimore, MD (Hybrid: 4 Days Onsite/Week, 1 Day Remote)
Pay Range: $40/hr - $45/hr
What's the Job?
- Support the trade lifecycle from post-execution allocation through trade settlement for various financial products including listed equity, fixed income, bank loans, derivatives, private placements, and discretionary trading strategies.
- Coordinate trade processing activities such as allocation, confirmation, reconciliation, and settlement following established procedures, controls, and checklists.
- Monitor and validate oversight risk and fails reporting, escalating issues as needed.
- Partner closely with front office, risk, technology teams, and service providers to resolve inquiries or discrepancies, ensuring smooth trade progression and process enhancements.
- Generate operational reports and dashboards to track key metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in UAT testing to support new system implementations, enhancements, and procedure updates.
- Provide feedback to management and third-party vendors regarding service quality and timeliness.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and relevant experience with a minimum of 2 years of Middle Office experience in at least one of the following areas: listed trade support, derivatives trade support, collateral and margin management, bank loan support.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a team environment and build strong relationships.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills with ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced financial environment.
- Proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently, identify process improvement opportunities, and contribute to initiatives that enhance operational efficiency
