Medical Billing Specialist

Our client, a healthcare organization specializing in revenue cycle management, is seeking a Medical Billing Specialist to join their team. As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will be part of the Revenue Cycle Management department supporting patient accounts, billing, and collections. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Medical Billing Specialist

Location: Lake Mary, FL (100% On-Site)

Pay Rate: $25/r. on W2

Duration: 6+ Month Contract

Shift: Daytime Schedule Mon-Friday

What's the Job?

• Review patient statements and verify account balances for accuracy
• Handle patient collections and follow up on outstanding balances
• Interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) to ensure proper processing
• Assist with inbound and outbound calls related to billing inquiries
• Ensure timely resolution of unpaid accounts while maintaining quality standards

What's Needed?

• Strong knowledge of medical billing and insurance processes
• Experience with customer service and collections in a healthcare setting
• Ability to interpret and analyze EOBs effectively
• Previous experience working in a billing or customer service call queue
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
