Application Programmer III

Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a Application Programmer III to join their team. As a Application Programmer III, you will be part of the IT Development Department supporting enterprise-wide database solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

• Developing database utilities using PL/SQL for large databases to support business operations.
• Implementing and maintaining large Oracle database systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Collaborating with front-end developers to integrate database solutions with user interfaces.
• Contributing to enterprise project deliveries, especially within financial institutions, utilizing agile methodologies.
• Performing performance tuning and optimization of SQL and PL/SQL code to enhance system efficiency.

What's Needed?

• 7+ years of experience in developing and maintaining Oracle databases, including PL/SQL packages, procedures, and functions.
• Proven track record of implementing large-scale database solutions in Oracle 19c/21c.
• Experience working with front-end developers and contributing to enterprise project deliveries.
• Strong understanding of performance tuning, code reviews, and mentoring within agile teams.
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing requirements and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
