Warren, NJ – Hybrid
6+ months contract with possibility of extension
Pay range: $28 - $29 /hr on W2

Position Summary:

  • Everest is seeking a tech-savvy Event Support Specialist to provide hands-on support for all meetings, conferences, and events held at Everest offices or off-site venues. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in audio/visual equipment and virtual meeting platforms, ensuring seamless execution of hybrid and in-person events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-site and remote support for internal and external meetings, conferences, and corporate events.
  • Set up, test, and operate audio/visual equipment, including microphones, speakers, projectors, video walls, and conferencing systems.
  • Support and troubleshoot virtual meeting platforms including Microsoft Teams, Webex, Zoom, and others.
  • Collaborate with IT, Facilities, and Event Planning teams to ensure all technical aspects of events are covered.
  • Maintain and manage inventory of A/V equipment and supplies.
  • Provide real-time troubleshooting during live events to ensure minimal disruption.
  • Assist with recording, streaming, and post-event media management.
  • Train and guide Everest employees on best practices for using meeting technologies.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend upgrades or improvements.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in event support or A/V technical roles, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Webex, Zoom, and other conferencing platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of audio/visual systems, including mixers, switchers, microphones, and display technologies.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed for event coverage.
  • Ability to lift and transport equipment (up to 50 lbs).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications in A/V technology or meeting platforms (e.g., Teams, Webex, Zoom)
  • Experience with hybrid event setups and streaming technologies.
  • Familiarity with event management software or scheduling tools.
