Data Center Network Consulting Engineer

Our client, a leading technology services organization, is seeking a Data Center Network Consulting Engineer (NCE) with deep expertise in Cisco Nexus platforms and NX-OS environments to join their team. As a Data Center Network Consulting Engineer (NCE), you will be part of the Network Infrastructure team supporting enterprise data center operations, network modernization initiatives, automation efforts, and network transformation projects. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus technologies, NX-OS administration and troubleshooting, a proactive mindset, and excellent communication abilities which will align successfully within the organization.

Pay Range: $55 per hour W2

What's the Job?

• Serve as a subject matter expert for Cisco Nexus platforms (5K, 6K, 7K, and 9K) running NX-OS in enterprise data center environments.
• Configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize Nexus switching infrastructure to ensure high availability and operational excellence.
• Manage and support standalone data center environments utilizing traditional three-tier architectures.
• Participate in network transformation projects migrating legacy environments to VXLAN fabric architectures.
• Develop and implement network automation solutions using Ansible, Python, and Jenkins Pipeline.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve network operations, performance, and automation capabilities.

What's Needed?

• Strong hands-on experience supporting and troubleshooting Cisco Nexus platforms (5K, 6K, 7K, and 9K) running NX-OS.
• Expert knowledge of NX-OS configuration, upgrades, troubleshooting, and operational best practices.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale data center networking environments.
• Strong experience with VXLAN technologies and modern data center networking.
• Practical automation experience using Ansible and Python in production environments.
• Experience with Jenkins Pipeline, GitHub, and network automation best practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
