Our client is seeking a Help Desk to join their team. As a Help Desk, you will be part of the IT Support Department supporting the organization's technical operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a customer-focused attitude which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Help Desk
Location: Madison, WI - Hybrid
Duration: 12+ months with highly possible extension/ conversion
Pay range: $22 - $25 / hr. on W2
What's the Job?
- Maintain and manage IT hardware asset data across multiple systems, including DHS's IT Service Management System (Cherwell & Ivanti Neurons) and DHS desktop management system (Ivanti).
- Perform electronic and physical IT hardware asset audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Utilize spreadsheet software platforms such as Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or OpenOffice Calc for data tracking and reporting.
- Provide exceptional customer service and clear communication to end-users and team members.
- Assist in creating and tracking IT hardware repairs and support cases to ensure timely resolution.
What's Needed?
- At least 3 years of experience managing IT hardware asset data in various systems.
- Proven experience conducting electronic and physical hardware audits.
- Proficiency with spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or OpenOffice Calc.
- Strong customer service skills and effective communication abilities.
- Current Wisconsin residency with on-site presence required three days per week; no relocation assistance provided.
