Customer Care Representative

Our client, a leading organization in the insurance industry, is seeking a Customer Care Representative to join their team. As a Customer Care Representative, you will be part of the Customer Service Department supporting the insurance services team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, adaptability, and a customer-focused attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Customer Care Representative

Location: North Kingstown, RI
Hours of Operation: 8am-8pm
Onsite Schedule: 6 weeks in office for training; Up to 5 times per month after training

Pay Rate:  $17.00/hr

What's the Job?

  • Respond to inbound inquiries regarding insurance coverage submitted by association members through various channels
  • Assist clients with enrollment processes and servicing policies effectively
  • Make outbound calls to follow up on prospects, telemarketing efforts, and service questions requiring research
  • Perform administrative tasks such as preparing memorandums and letters related to sales and service inquiries
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, team members, and carriers, providing detailed explanations of products and policies

What's Needed?

  • High School diploma or equivalent; or three to five years of related experience and/or training
  • Experience in a call center environment is required
  • Knowledge of customer service principles, insurance lines of business, and sales techniques
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, along with personal computer proficiency
  • Ability to adapt to new work methods, policies, and ongoing change while working within company culture
