Our client, a leading organization in the finance and accounting sector, is seeking an Accountant II to join their team. As an Accountant II, you will be part of the Finance Department supporting the accounting and financial reporting functions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, analytical thinking, and strong communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Santa Clara, CA
Pay Range: 28/hr on w2
What's the Job?
- Responsible for a variety of complex month-end closing activities, including journal entry preparation, account analysis, intercompany transactions, payroll analysis, account reconciliations, and month-end consolidations.
- Ensure compliance with SOX, internal controls, corporate policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with FP&A, other accounting colleagues, and third-party service providers to execute the financial close, provide guidance, and improve processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead efforts to implement process changes.
- Participate in projects and initiatives related to existing or new processes and implementations as needed.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business.
- At least 3-4 years of experience in accounting with increasing responsibility.
- Familiarity with spreadsheets, accounting software, and GAAP.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and data analysis capabilities.
- Ability to work independently, lead projects, and communicate effectively across organizational levels.
