Data Center Inventory Technician

Our client, a leader in data management and technology support, is seeking a dedicated Data Center Inventory Technician to join their team. As a Data Center Inventory Technician, you will be an integral part of the Data Center Operations team, supporting inventory management, material movement, and regulatory compliance activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, proactive problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethic, which will enable you to thrive in this dynamic environment.

Data Center Inventory Technician
Boydton, VA
18 month contract
Day Shift A: 12-hrs (Sun-Wed) & (Sun-Tue)

Pay Range: $25-$28/hour

What's the Job?

  • Perform physical inventory tracking and staging to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing deliveries, including purchase order receiving and rack movement activities
  • Conduct inventory cycle audits, data corrections, and support regulatory or certification audits
  • Manage material movement, shipping, and receiving processes within the data center environment
  • Follow all documented procedures for data destruction of data-bearing devices (DBD)

What's Needed?

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of experience in warehouse, supply chain, or IT environment
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Previous experience working in a data center environment is preferred
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
