Mainframe DevOps Consultant

Our client, a leader in the technology and consulting industry, is seeking a Mainframe DevOps Consultant to join their dynamic team. As a Mainframe DevOps Consultant, you will be part of the Application Modernization Department supporting migration and integration projects. 
 

Job Title:Mainframe DevOps Consultant

Location:Remote - USA

What's the Job?

• Lead and support application migration projects utilizing SCM tools such as CA-Endevor, DBB, GIT, and IDD solutions.
• Guide clients through the conversion process, providing technical expertise and hands-on migration support.
• Architect DevOps pipelines using Git, IBM DBB, and automated deployment tools to modernize mainframe environments.
• Assess existing legacy workflows and design effective migration strategies to Git and other modern SCM solutions.
• Conduct technical training sessions and develop documentation to ensure successful knowledge transfer and project completion.

What's Needed?

• Clear, concise communication skills to articulate technical concepts effectively.
• Strong background in application development or system programming on IBM z/OS and USS.
• Proven experience with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of DBB, GIT, and IDD on mainframe systems.
• Ability to analyze, convert, and validate Endevor applications and related migration processes.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as YAML and Groovy, and experience with pipeline debugging and branch management.
