Manager, Strategic Sourcing Category Management

Our client, a leading organization in the retail and supply chain industry, is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Category Management Manager (Staff Augmentation) to join their team. As a Strategic Sourcing Category Management Manager (Staff Augmentation), you will be part of the procurement and supply chain department supporting senior leadership and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strategic thinking, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title:Strategic Sourcing Category Management Manager (Staff Augmentation)

Location: Cincinnati, OH

Pay Range:$115,000 - $128,000

What's the Job?

• Utilize category-specific expertise to collaborate with business stakeholders on category strategy development
• Lead sourcing events, negotiate contracts, and support contract execution to meet organizational goals
• Manage supplier relationships, evaluate suppliers, and develop category strategies for continuous improvement
• Drive enterprise-wide supplier strategy, vendor negotiations, and workforce continuity planning
• Partner with internal teams and external partners to optimize procurement processes and achieve savings targets

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in strategic sourcing, vendor management, or related areas
• Proven ability to operate independently on confidential, high-visibility projects
• Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
• Experience with RFX processes (RFI, RFP, RFQ) and contract review and negotiation
