Laboratory Technician

Our client, a leader in consumer products and research, is seeking a Lab Technician I to join their team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be part of the Consumer Products Lab supporting research, development, and quality assurance initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong physical mobility, excellent observation skills, and adaptability, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Laboratory Technician 

Location: Maplewood, Minnesota (100% onsite)

Pay Range: $18 to $22
Duration: 12 month contract

What's the Job?

• Prepare materials and organize setups for product testing
• Assist in laboratory experiments through testing and evaluation of new materials and products based on research
• Perform mechanical performance tests for research, development, or quality control purposes
• Conduct visual observations and testing on competitor product samples and communicate results to appropriate stakeholders
• Perform hands-on testing using multiple pieces of laboratory equipment

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or equivalent; open to candidates with a Bachelor's or Associate degree
• Ability to work 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday
• Ability to lift and carry at least 25 pounds and perform high-repetition lifting of 5-pound weights
• Proficient hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Willingness to use ladders or step stools to work from elevated surfaces
