Our client, a leading organization in the Retail & Supply Chain industry, is seeking a Data Governance Architect to lead the design, implementation, and evolution of enterprise-wide data governance capabilities.
This is a strategic, high-impact opportunity for a data leader who thrives at the intersection of business and technology. You'll partner with senior executives, business stakeholders, data teams, and technology leaders to ensure data is trusted, secure, accessible, and positioned as a critical business asset across the enterprise.

What You'll Do
- Design and implement enterprise-wide data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and best practices.
- Establish governance processes that improve data quality, integrity, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Partner with business leaders, data owners, stewards, architects, and engineering teams to drive governance adoption across key business domains.
- Define and enforce data standards, metadata management practices, and data lifecycle management strategies.
- Lead initiatives focused on data quality, master data management (MDM), stewardship, and governance maturity.
- Collaborate with technology teams to embed governance controls into modern data platforms and analytics solutions.
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable data management and governance strategies.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on data governance, risk management, compliance, and enterprise data strategy.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Architecture, Enterprise Data Management, or related disciplines.
- Proven track record of designing and operationalizing enterprise data governance programs at scale.
- Experience partnering across business and technology organizations to drive adoption and organizational change.
- Deep expertise in data quality, metadata management, data stewardship, governance operating models, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience supporting retail, apparel, merchandising, customer, product, supply chain, or eCommerce data environments.
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and lead strategic initiatives from concept through execution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within Retail, Apparel, Consumer Products, or Supply Chain organizations.
- Exposure to Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives.
- Experience with governance platforms such as Collibra, Alation, Informatica, Microsoft Purview, or similar tools.
- Experience supporting cloud modernization, digital transformation, or enterprise data platform initiatives.
