Software Development Engineer IV-

Our client, a leader in the financial services industry, is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join their team. As a Software Development Engineer IV-, you will be part of the Software Engineering Department supporting the Security and Application Development teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to security and coding challenges, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Software Development Engineer

Location: Greenwood Village, CO or Berkley Heights, NY (5 days onsite every week - Need Local)

Pay Range: $80

What's the Job?

• Design, develop, and maintain secure Java applications and microservices.
• Lead efforts in scanning and resolving application security vulnerabilities using tools like Sonatype, Fortify, and Web Inspect.
• Collaborate with security teams to communicate vulnerability scan results and implement necessary fixes.
• Support and enhance existing systems, ensuring adherence to security and coding standards.
• Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning and ticket management using AZDO or similar tools.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 6-7 years of Java development experience with a passion for coding.
• Proficiency in Java (JDK 21 and Java 8 output), Spring, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices architecture.
• Experience with application security scanning tools such as Sonatype, Fortify, and Web Inspect.
• Familiarity with agile ticketing systems like AZDO or similar.
• Strong understanding of SQL and experience working with cloud platforms like Azure is a plus.
