Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join their team. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be part of the Regulatory Compliance Department supporting Surveillance and Data Analysis Teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, effective communication, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Senior Business Analyst with AI/LLM (No C2C)

Location: Rockville, Maryland

Pay Range: $80-84/hr depending on years of experience

What's the Job?

  • Conduct moderate-to-high complexity analysis of automated surveillance systems to detect potential regulatory violations.
  • Understand, validate, enhance, and support surveillance patterns across multiple asset classes and regulatory domains.
  • Serve as a bridge between regulatory requirements and technical implementation, ensuring accurate and defensible results.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and prototype solutions to address business challenges.
  • Manage the implementation of prototypes into production environments, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience or an advanced degree with 2+ years of experience in data analysis or related fields.
  • Proficiency with data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis.
  • Strong SQL skills for large-scale data analysis on distributed platforms.
  • Experience with Python or similar scripting languages for automation and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and experience in leveraging them to solve complex business problems.
