Java Developer - Junior

Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Java Developer - Junior to join their team. As a Java Developer - Junior, you will be part of the Software Development Department supporting the Trading Platform Team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for innovative technology solutions, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Java Developer - Junior

Location: Ann Arbor, MI ( 4 days onsite every week)

Pay Range: $40/hr 

What's the Job?

• Participate in the design, development, and troubleshooting of high-performance desktop trading applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement complex software features and enhancements.
• Assist in system design, specification development, and debugging activities.
• Contribute to the development of APIs and frameworks supporting trading functionalities.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of issues in both development and production environments.

What's Needed?

• 1+ Years of experience with Java, J2EE (both client and server side).
• Experience with object-oriented analysis and design (OOA/OOD), distributed systems, and real-time processing.
• Familiarity with relational database systems and messaging systems.
• Experience with UI frameworks like Swing, Java FX, or similar technologies.
• Knowledge of agile development practices and test-driven development.
