Our client, a leading organization in data center infrastructure management, is seeking a Contractor/Vendor Data Engineer to join their team. As a Contractor/Vendor Data Engineer, you will be part of the Data & Analytics Department supporting infrastructure and data pipeline projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate adaptability, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Contractor/Vendor Data Engineer
Location: Redmond, WA (Fully remote; any U.S. time zone is acceptable, West Coast preferred)
Pay Range: $35 - $37.hr on Experis W2 (Benefits/PTO/401k)
Best vs. Average: The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience with Microsoft analytics products and ETL processes, experience building or supporting data pipelines, and experience working with large-scale data environments. A degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred
What's the Job?
- Support data acquisition across ICS/OT application platforms, including BAS, EPMS, BMS, and vendor systems used in Azure datacenter environments.
- Develop and maintain scripts, API integrations, database queries, and file-parsing methods to extract device inventory and configuration data.
- Normalize outputs to a common schema and integrate them into Microsoft data pipelines such as Kusto, Geneva, and related monitoring systems.
- Troubleshoot production data-collection issues and collaborate with SMEs and vendors for ongoing improvements.
- Design and implement automated data flows for extraction, transformation, and load processes, ensuring compliance with data privacy policies.
What's Needed?
- 3-5 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, KQL, Power Automate, and multiple Microsoft systems.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell and experience with APIs, databases, and telemetry pipelines.
- Strong understanding of logical database design, relational database concepts, and data modeling.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
