Hardware Validation Engineer

Our client, a leader in the technology and hardware development industry, is seeking a HW VnV Engineer to join their team. As a HW VnV Engineer, you will be part of the hardware validation and verification department supporting cross-functional product teams.  
 

Job Title: Hardware Verification & Validation Engineer

Location:Phoenix, AZ (On Site)

What's the Job?

• Develop, maintain, and debug Python-based hardware validation scripts for board-level and interface-level testing.
• Translate hardware requirements into executable test procedures and pass/fail criteria.
• Perform root-cause analysis for failures across scripts, firmware, and hardware.
• Utilize lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMMs, and signal generators for troubleshooting.
• Document setup instructions, known issues, and troubleshooting procedures to ensure repeatability and knowledge sharing.

What's Needed?

• Hands-on experience with hardware interfaces like UART, RS-422, RS-485, SPI, I2C, GPIO, Ethernet, and CAN.
• Proficiency in developing and debugging Python scripts for hardware validation.
• Strong hardware troubleshooting skills and familiarity with lab equipment.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with product teams.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git and basic CI workflows.
