Our client is seeking a Security Analyst to join their team. As a Security Analyst, you will be part of the Cybersecurity Department supporting compliance, risk assessment, and incident response functions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive problem-solving, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

  • Support a wide range of compliance and cybersecurity functions across the Wisconsin Department of Correction (DOC).
  • Provide risk assessment and compliance support, including leading audits and analyzing risks.
  • Monitor corrective actions and draft risk reports with metrics and ongoing effort tracking.
  • Assess, document, and guide IT staff and non-IT areas on aligning processes with regulatory standards.
  • Support detection, analysis, and response to cybersecurity threats, including forensic investigations and vulnerability management.

What's Needed?

  • At least 2 years of experience with NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST RMF, and other security standards.
  • Experience with security frameworks, control theories, and standards such as NIST, CJIS, and ISO.
  • Proficiency in triaging and analyzing cybersecurity alerts using enterprise tools.
  • Knowledge of phishing mitigation, email threat analysis, and incident response forensics.
  • Strong technical writing skills for incident reports and documentation.
