Energy Portfolio Manager, Wholesale

Our client, a leader in the energy industry, is seeking an Energy Portfolio Manager, Wholesale to join their team. As an Energy Portfolio Manager, Wholesale, you will be part of the Wholesale Support team supporting energy trading and portfolio management operations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Energy Portfolio Manager, Wholesale

Location: Sunnyvale, California (Remote role)

Pay Range:$100-110/HR
 

What's the Job?

• Support post-execution management of wholesale energy and capacity contracts, including bilateral PPAs, tolling agreements, energy hedges/forwards, and capacity transactions
• Monitor compliance of counterparties with contract deliverables such as energy delivery schedules, capacity accreditation, and settlement obligations
• Coordinate with the Energy Analytics team to track financial performance of wholesale agreements, identify variances, root causes, and recommend actions
• Collaborate with market-participating affiliates and third-party portfolio managers on transaction settlement, scheduling, and market compliance issues
• Manage contract amendments, collateral requirements, credit provisions, force majeure claims, and other post-execution commercial matters under ISDA/EEI master agreements

What's Needed?

• Experience in wholesale energy markets, power trading operations, or energy portfolio management within electric utilities, power marketers, RTO/ISO, or energy trading firms
• Proficiency working with ISDA/EEI master agreements, confirmations, credit provisions, and collateral management
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent commercial matters and collaborate across legal, finance, accounting, and operational teams
• Strong skills in standard document and analytics platforms such as Excel, Google Workspace, and Salesforce
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize workflows and drive measurable impact, with experience adhering to responsible AI practices
