Our client, a leader in mission-critical infrastructure support, is seeking a Critical Facilities Electrical Technician to join their team. As a Critical Facilities Electrical Technician, you will support the operation, maintenance, and reliability of critical electrical infrastructure in a high-availability environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a proactive commitment to safety and operational excellence.

Job Title: Critical Facilities Electrical Technician
Location: San Antonio, TX
Contract Length: 18 Months
Pay Rate: $36-$38/hour

What's the Job?

  • Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment in mission-critical environments while following established procedures and safety protocols.
  • Conduct inspections and testing to ensure proper grounding, labeling, and overall system integrity.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults, replacing or repairing components as needed to restore functionality.
  • Support system upgrades and infrastructure refresh projects, including panel modifications, cable routing, and equipment commissioning.
  • Monitor electrical systems for anomalies, alarms, or failures and respond promptly to maintain operational continuity.
  • Follow safety standards, participate in hazard assessments, and contribute to a culture of operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with facility operations teams to support the reliability of critical infrastructure systems.

What's Needed?
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required; vocational training or apprenticeship in electrical systems preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience as an Electrician, Electrical Technician, Electrical Maintenance Technician, Electrical Engineer, or Electrical Maintenance Engineer.
  • Experience supporting mission-critical environments such as data centers, hospitals, manufacturing facilities, utilities, or refineries.
  • Knowledge of electrical distribution systems, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance practices.
  • OSHA 10 and NFPA 70E certifications preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to workplace safety.
