We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer II to join a leading organization in Livermore, CA. This role will support Operations and Continuous Improvement initiatives by developing, maintaining, and updating process documentation within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Job Title: Technical Writer II
Location: Livermore, CA (100% Onsite)
Duration: 6-Month Contract
Pay Rate:$25-$30/hr
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, edit, and maintain process documentation using established templates.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, process flows, and operational documents.
- Collaborate with managers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to gather information and document business processes.
- Conduct follow-ups to clarify requirements, obtain additional details, and incorporate feedback into documentation.
- Manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Review, update, and finalize documents for approval and distribution.
- Upload approved documents into internal systems and repositories.
- Perform document scanning and other administrative/document management duties as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Technical Writer, Documentation Specialist, or related role.
- Strong experience creating process documentation, SOPs, work instructions, or operational procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Salesforce.
- Experience with Windchill.
- Previous experience supporting operations, manufacturing, healthcare, medical device, or continuous improvement environments.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Associate degree with relevant professional experience will also be considered.
