ENG Design Engineer I

Our client, a leading organization in the packaging and engineering industry, is seeking an ENG Design Engineer I to join their team. As an ENG Design Engineer I, you will be part of the Packaging Engineering department supporting various operational units. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

  • Follow clearly defined procedures under general guidance within packaging organizational areas such as client services, quality, and regulatory affairs management.
  • Handle inquiries of moderate scope and complexity, utilizing data from multiple sources to interpret information and assess alternative methods.
  • Assist in developing and implementing packaging solutions through direct or indirect contact with clients and suppliers.
  • Support the modification and improvement of existing package designs, methods, and solutions.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to develop process or product improvements, standard operating procedures, and training materials.

What's Needed?

  • Basic understanding of packaging theories and practices.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze data to support business requests and projects.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and international packaging regulations.
  • Experience with graphics design projects of limited scope is a plus.
