Assembly Lab Technician

Our client, a leader in scientific research and technical solutions, is seeking a LAB Technician III to join their team. As a LAB Technician III, you will be part of the Laboratory Support Department supporting research and quality control initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Assembly Lab Technician 

Location: Austin, TX (100% onstie)

Pay Range:$18 to $23
Duration: 12 month contract 

What's the Job?

• Perform chemical, biological, physical, and mechanical analyses and tests required for research, development, or quality control of processes and products.
• Assist with compiling, analyzing, interpreting, and documenting test results accurately and efficiently.
• Follow established procedures and methods while working independently or within a team environment.
• Support calibration steps and conduct basic functional testing on laboratory equipment.
• Maintain detailed documentation of inspections, quality findings, and test data to ensure compliance and traceability.

What's Needed?

• Associate’s degree, vocational training, or trade certification in a science or technical discipline, or high school diploma/GED with 2 years of lab tech experience.
• Strong logistics and coordination skills, including shipment planning and material preparation.
• Basic mechanical or electrical aptitude, including cable handling, equipment assembly, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with shipping, material movement, and handling technical equipment.
• Excellent documentation, data tracking, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
