Our client, a leading technology organization specializing in cloud gaming and digital entertainment, is seeking a Software Design Engineer to join their innovative team. As a Software Design Engineer, you will be part of the Cloud Gaming Support Department supporting hardware troubleshooting and system optimization. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach to technical challenges, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Software Design Engineer

Location: Redmond, WA (Onsite)

Pay Range: $54 - $58.hr on Experis W2 (Benefits/PTO/401k)
 

Top 3 Must-Have HARD Skills & years of experience for each:

  • Debugging hardware issues (2 years)
  • Technical documention, especially trouble shooting guides (2 years)
  • Scripting or command line tool development (2 years) - C# and PowerShell (or transferable skills for coding)

 

What's the Job?

  • Analyze failure signals from cloud gaming hardware to identify root causes of issues.
  • Develop and refine troubleshooting guides to assist onsite technicians in hardware repairs.
  • Implement improvements to automated health monitoring and repair systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system reliability and performance.
  • Document technical findings, trends, and solutions for continuous process improvement.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in hardware troubleshooting, system diagnostics, or related roles.
  • Proficiency in debugging hardware issues and developing troubleshooting documentation.
  • Experience with scripting or command-line tools, especially C# and PowerShell.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple issues effectively.
