Food Quality Assurance (QA)

Our client, a leading organization in the food manufacturing industry, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join their team. As a vital member of the Quality Assurance department, you will support the production process ensuring the highest standards of product quality and safety. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintaining quality standards, which will align successfully within the organization.

• 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:45 PM – 11:00 PM, Saturdays are currently required. Sundays off.
• 3rd Shift: Monday–Friday, 10:45 PM – 7:00 AM, Saturdays are currently required. Sundays off.

What's the Job?

• Monitor the production process and product quality through sensory, weight control, and analytical methods to ensure consistency and compliance with specifications.
• Evaluate finished products for moisture, ingredient content, color, package fill, weights, seal integrity, and overall quality.
• Perform and document routine laboratory tests on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods, utilizing testing equipment for validation and calibration.
• Communicate any out-of-compliance situations and product standards to production teams and supervisors promptly.
• Adhere to safety, hygiene, and food safety protocols, including executing the Food Safety and Food Quality Plans within the SQF Program.

What's Needed?

• Ability to perform routine biological or chemical analytical tests according to standard procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and testing procedures.
• Good communication skills to effectively report findings and collaborate with team members.
• Willingness to work on-site during designated shifts, including mandatory overtime when required.
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to handling chemicals and equipment in a laboratory setting.
