Avionics Systems Engineer

Our client, a leader in defense and aerospace technology, is seeking a passionate and skilled Avionics Systems Engineer to join their dedicated team. As an Avionics Systems Engineer, you will be an integral part of the engineering department supporting advanced surveillance and positioning systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Avionics Systems Engineer

Location: Phoenix, AZ or Redmond, WA (On Site)

What's the Job?

• Lead system-level engineering for cutting-edge surveillance and positioning systems in defense platforms.
• Define and manage detailed system requirements to ensure project success.
• Support formation positioning and surveillance systems to meet operational standards.
• Interface with FAA, customers, and certification bodies to ensure compliance and safety.
• Ensure system safety, reliability, and certification in accordance with industry standards.

What's Needed?

• Experience in surveillance systems, with TCAS preferred.
• Background in military avionics systems.
• Knowledge of DO-178C and system-level certification processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
