Our client, a leading organization in the financial services sector, is seeking a Accountant - Mid-Level to join their team. As a Accountant - Mid-Level, you will be part of the Finance Department supporting the Financial & Regulatory Reporting team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?
- Lead the monthly closing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for external audits and tax filings.
- Perform detailed reconciliations of contribution, grant, dividend, and fee activity, maintaining high accuracy in high-volume reporting.
- Assist with employee matching account postings, tax form preparation, and valuation of alternative investments.
- Design and prepare database reports to support monthly reconciliations and audit processes.
- Research and resolve discrepancies in employee matching gift accounts and support ongoing tax reporting efforts.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, investments, or financial services/administration.
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and proficiency in Excel, macros, and database applications.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to handle complex regulations surrounding charitable giving.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
