We are seeking a Project Coordinator / Project Manager to support a portfolio of IT software implementation projects for our client who is a leading healthcare organization. This is a 3–4 month contract engagement (with potential extension) designed to backfill team capacity during a temporary leave and help drive multiple mid-sized initiatives forward.

This individual will play a critical role in coordinating cross-functional teams, maintaining project timelines, and ensuring delivery of key software and cloud-based solutions.

Job Title: IT Project Coordinator / Project Manager

Location: Baltimore, MD (Remote - Must work EST Hours, 8:30am - 5:00pm)

Pay Range: $50/hr W2

What’s the Job?

  • Manage and coordinate multiple IT/software implementation projects from initiation through execution and close
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and status reporting using tools such as Smartsheet and Excel
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across business and IT teams (often 15–20+ stakeholders per project)
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies (scrums, standups) and contribute to hybrid Agile/Waterfall delivery
  • Track and manage risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring transparency and accountability
  • Communicate project updates and progress to stakeholders and executive leadership
  • Ensure testing coordination and change management activities are completed effectively
  • Support software implementation and cloud solution deployments, including integrations
  • Hold teams accountable and proactively “nudge” stakeholders to meet deliverables and timelines
  • Create professional PowerPoint presentations and status reports for leadership review

What’s Needed?

Required Qualifications

  • 3–8+ years of experience in IT project coordination or project management
  • Experience managing software implementation or application development projects
  • Strong understanding of project management fundamentals (SDLC, planning, execution, testing)
  • Experience working with:
  • Cross-functional teams in complex environments
  • Cloud-based solutions and system integrations (SSO, file transfers, etc.)
  • Familiarity with:
  • Agile methodologies and Scrum facilitation
  • Tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, Excel, Teams, Zoom
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including executive-facing reporting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in enterprise IT environments (healthcare, higher education, or large organizations)
  • Exposure to ERP-adjacent or enterprise system integrations
  • PMP or similar certification (nice to have, not required)

  • Strong people management skills (influence without authority)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable navigating organizational dynamics and senior stakeholders
  • Proactive, accountable, and highly responsive in a remote environment
  • Skilled at identifying risks early and driving solutions forward
  • Ability to quickly ramp up and take ownership within 1–2 weeks
