Senior Solution Architect

Our client is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to join their team. As a Senior Solution Architect, you will be part of the Technology Department supporting the Data and Cloud Solutions team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Senior Solution Architect

Location: Toronto, Ontario - Hybrid 

What's the Job?

• Design and deliver scalable, secure, high-performance solution architectures for cloud migration projects.
• Lead the migration of applications from on-premises infrastructure to AWS, ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption.
• Collaborate with business and BSA teams to translate requirements into comprehensive architecture designs.
• Author high-level and detailed design documents, lead architecture reviews, and uphold architectural standards.
• Ensure security, scalability, and reliability across all solutions, leveraging AI tools for analysis and documentation.

What's Needed?

• 8+ years of experience in solution architecture or senior engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as ECS/Fargate, API Gateway, Lambda, Glue, S3, RDS, KMS, Secrets Manager.
• Strong data architecture experience, including secure data sharing and row-level security.
• Experience with MWAA / Apache Airflow orchestration and dbt transformation patterns.
• Proven ability to lead on-premises-to-cloud application migrations and familiarity with enterprise integration patterns.
