AI Data Collection Specialist

Our client, a leader in artificial intelligence and spatial computing, is seeking an AI Data Collection Specialist to support cutting-edge research and development initiatives. In this role, you’ll contribute directly to the advancement of next-generation AI systems by collecting high-quality real-world data using immersive technologies.

You’ll work closely with a specialized research team focused on training AI models through structured, hands-on data collection in a dynamic, innovative lab environment.

Job Title: Research Collaborator V
Location: Menlo Park, CA - onsite
Pay Range: $28/hour on W2
Contract Length: 3-24 month contract

What You’ll Do

• Use Virtual Reality (VR) headsets to perform a range of everyday activities (e.g., interacting with objects, simulated household tasks) while following detailed protocols
• Perform physically active tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and moving for extended periods while wearing VR equipment
• Collect and upload data daily using secure, proprietary systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with formatting standards
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail to produce consistent, high-quality datasets
• Track daily progress, complete session logs, and meet defined data volume targets
• Identify and report technical issues, unclear instructions, or workflow challenges to the project team
• Support ongoing improvements to AI and spatial computing systems through reliable data contribution

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured instructions precisely
• Comfort using technology, including mobile applications, consumer electronics, and VR devices
• Ability to meet daily and weekly production goals in a fast-paced environment
• Ability and willingness to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing and moving for long periods while wearing a VR headset
• Comfort working in an active, hands-on environment rather than a traditional desk-based role
• Prior experience with VR, data collection, or structured operational workflows is a plus
