Our client, a leading innovator in industrial and manufacturing solutions, is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join their team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be part of the R&D department supporting the Abrasive Systems Division. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Laboratory Technician

Location: Maplewood, MN (100% on site)
Duration: 12 month contract
Pay: $18 to $22p/h on w-2 

 

What's the Job?

  • Perform a wide range of laboratory tests and experiments on industrial products, following established protocols and procedures
  • Operate, maintain, and calibrate various equipment used in the preparation and testing of abrasive samples
  • Prepare and characterize samples and resins using prescribed formulations and test methods while adhering to strict safety guidelines
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data accurately and efficiently to support product development
  • Document and report test results, ensuring accuracy and completeness for team review

What's Needed?

  • At least 1 year of experience working in a laboratory setting within private, public, academic, government, or military environments
  • Reliable transportation to the in-person location 
  • Strong technical and/or mechanical background
  • Experience with pilot or production manufacturing equipment is preferred
  • Familiarity with safe chemical handling practices and laboratory safety protocols
