Senior Firewall Engineer
Bill rate: $85.75/hr

18-24 months contract (possibility of conversion- no visa candidate)

• Locations: Las Colinas, Charlotte (Boulevard only), Chandler.

• Primary tech stack:
Palo Alto firewalls, Fortinet (great to have), some Cisco routing/switching

• Work expectations:
Flex hours, some nights/weekends, on‑call rotation.

• Key responsibilities:
Firewall management, policy changes, troubleshooting, remote access support, packet captures, Splunk log analysis, and some automation work.

• Candidate requirements:
• 4+ years InfoSec engineering
• 2+ years network security engineering
• 2+ years firewall configuration/troubleshooting
• Panorama experience (device groups, templates)
• Strong Palo Alto experience is the top priority

The team also clarified that visa candidates should not be submitted because conversion may be possible, and sponsorship is not supported.

Responsibilities

• Manage Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls
• Support Global Protect for 240,000 users
• Perform packet captures, log analysis, incident management
• Handle policy changes and routing adjustments
• Participate in migrations (Palo Alto → Fortinet)
Check logs, do some packet captures
There will be some firewall migrations… from Palo Alto to Fortinet.

Work Hours & Flexibility

The role requires after‑hours and weekend work with flex time, not overtime.
