Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) Analyst

Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) Analyst to join their team. As a Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) Analyst, you will be an integral part of the Compliance Department supporting transaction monitoring and anti-money laundering efforts. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to compliance challenges, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) Analyst

Location:White Plains, NY

Pay Range: $40-50/hr

What's the Job?

  • Complete complex compliance tasks related to transaction monitoring and escalate suspicious activity reports (SARs) in accordance with AML policies.
  • Create detailed narratives and documentation for alerted transactions and SARs, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Stay current with AML, BSA, and OFAC regulations, and implement necessary procedural updates.
  • Collaborate with team leads to ensure quality and compliance in new process implementations.
  • Provide training and mentorship to new hires, fostering a knowledgeable and compliant team environment.

What's Needed?

  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent work experience in BSA/AML compliance.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and quality of work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of banking regulations related to transaction surveillance, AML, BSA, and OFAC is preferred.
