Our client, a leading organization in the data management and analytics industry, is seeking a Hadoop Admin (Charlotte or Chicago) to join their dynamic team. As a Hadoop Admin (Charlotte or Chicago), you will be an integral part of the Data Operations Department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to platform management, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Hadoop Admin (Charlotte or Chicago)

Location: Chicago, IL

Pay Range:$70-73

What's the Job?

• Manage and support Hadoop platforms, including build, maintenance, and end-to-end support
• Automate platform processes and manage data workflows efficiently
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams related to markets and banking to ensure platform stability
• Perform patching, troubleshooting, and support for vendor-based Hadoop and Data Science products
• Oversee platform upgrades, incident management, capacity planning, and disaster recovery

What's Needed?

• 5-8 years of experience in cluster management of Hadoop and Data Science platforms
• Hands-on experience with Cloudera administration, patching, and automation
• Knowledge of Hadoop architecture, HDFS, YARN, and troubleshooting log files
• Proficiency with Unix/Linux, scripting languages, and automation tools like Ansible and Jenkins
• Certifications in Cloudera Admin/Dev and Cloud/Container technologies are preferred
