Our client, a global leader in aerospace and avionics technology, is seeking a Systems Engineer (Avionics) to join their team. As a Systems Engineer, you will be part of the Avionics Engineering Department supporting the Next Generation Avionics Platform Team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective cross-functional collaboration which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Systems Engineer (Avionics)(6-month contract)
Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid)
Pay Range: $50 - $62/hr
What’s the Job?
-
Develop, integrate, and verify avionics systems for next-generation aircraft platforms
-
Support aircraft state monitoring and systems/synoptics applications

Perform systems/software requirements development, validation, and verification

Utilize model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools such as Simulink
-
Ensure compliance with DO-160, QUAL, and EMI standards
What’s Needed?
-
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

Strong experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)

Avionics and embedded systems experience

Experience with DO-160, qualification, and EMI testing (HIGHLY REQUIRED)

Familiarity with ARINC 661 (Scade preferred) and aircraft systems integration
