Our client, a leading organization in government IT modernization, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong stakeholder engagement abilities, and a strategic mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Senior Project Manager
Location: Remote in Sacramento, CA
Pay Range: $63.00 to $75.00 per hour
What's the Job?
- Lead the planning, development, and management of large-scale IT modernization projects within the California government sector.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multi-vendor engagements to ensure project milestones are achieved on time and within scope.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans utilizing tools such as MS Project, SharePoint, JIRA, and Azure DevOps.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate stakeholder communication, including executive briefings, steering committee meetings, and status reports.
What's Needed?
- Minimum of 5 years of full-time project management experience on large-scale government IT projects.
- Hands-on experience with project management artifacts, including PAL stages 2-4.
- Proficiency with project scheduling and collaboration tools such as MS Project, SharePoint, Jira, and ADO.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and hybrid delivery methodologies, with experience managing data migration and system integrations.
