Our client is seeking a Sr. SQL Server Developer / Data Architect to join their team. As a Sr. SQL Server Developer / Data Architect, you will be part of the Data & Analytics Department supporting the Vegetation Management and Operational Planning teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.
Job Title: Database Developer/ Architect
Location: Sacramento, California (hybrid)
Pay Range:$85.00 to $95.00 per hour
What's the Job?
- Design, build, and deliver a Vegetation Management Database (VMD) on Microsoft SQL Server, supporting critical operational analytics.
- Develop logical and physical data models, including data architecture, relationships, and metadata standards.
- Implement ETL processes to load, cleanse, and validate historical and reference data, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Create dashboards, scorecards, KPI reports, and predictive models using Power BI and Python to support decision-making and forecasting.
- Collaborate with IT and GIS teams to ensure seamless data integration and support knowledge transfer through documentation and training.
What's Needed?
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in database design, development, and analytics services, particularly with SQL Server.
- Hands-on expertise in data integration, ETL, reporting, analytics, and forecasting solutions.
- Proficiency with MS Power BI, SQL, Python, GIS Systems, and ESRI ArcMap.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Authorized to work in the US and available during Pacific business hours.
