Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Business Operations Specialist III to join their team. As a Business Operations Specialist III, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting project coordination, execution support, and testing activities to support the adoption of a new proprietary financial system. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, proactive communication, and a detail-oriented mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Business Operations Specialist III
Location: Baltimore, MD (Hybrid - 4 Days Onsite)
Pay Range: $40/hr - $45/hr
What's the Job?
Project Management & Coordination- Support day-to-day coordination of project activities across multiple workstreams
- Maintain and track project plans, action logs, risks, issues, and dependencies
- Drive follow-ups on open items to ensure accountability and timely resolution
- Prepare clear and concise status updates, summaries, and reporting for stakeholders
- Organize meetings, document notes, decks, and track decisions and action items
- Coordinate across internal teams and external partners to align on deliverables
- Identify potential risks, gaps, or delays and escalate appropriately
- Ensure key deliverables are completed in alignment with established timelines
- Support testing activities by following defined instructions and test plans
- Execute testing steps while quickly learning new systems and processes
- Identify, document, and track issues, ensuring findings are clearly recorded and organized
- Communicate results and observations to stakeholders in a structured way
- Assist in tracking testing progress against planned activities
- Collaborate with project teams to support system enhancements and provide feedback on process improvements
What's Needed?
- Bachelor's degree in business management, economics, finance, accounting, or relevant field.
- 3+ years of experience in project coordination/support, PMO, junior project management role with a background in financial services (asset management, banking, or related) strongly preferred.
- Technically savvy with the ability to quickly learn new systems and tools with preferred past experience supporting projects or testing efforts (UAT, system testing, or similar).
- Experience supporting financial data, financial operations, or technology-related initiatives for financial systems, software, or applications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
- Experience with project tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project) is a plus.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and multitasking skills; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, structured updates.
- Proactive, solution-oriented self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently.
