Network Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the biotech industry, is seeking a Network Engineer to join their team. As a Network Engineer, you will be part of the Information Technology department supporting the infrastructure and security teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Network Engineer

Location:South San Francisco, California

Pay Range: $68.00 to $75.00 per hour

What's the Job?

• Design, configure, and support secure, high-availability network infrastructure across campus, lab, and data center environments.
• Manage enterprise networking equipment including Cisco switches, Meraki wireless and switching, and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Troubleshoot network failures, latency issues, and performance bottlenecks to ensure optimal network operation.
• Implement and maintain network segmentation strategies to support security and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with cloud, security, and infrastructure teams to support AWS networking and hybrid cloud connectivity.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 5+ years supporting medium to large enterprise networks as a Network Engineer or Administrator.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco switching, Meraki Wi-Fi, and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
• Experience with AWS networking, including VPC design, Direct Connect, and VPNs.
• Degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science or Information Technology.
