Our client, a leader in automotive technology and innovation, is seeking a Sr. Electrical System Design Engineer to join their team. As a Sr. Electrical System Design Engineer, you will be part of the engineering department supporting vehicle hardware development teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to excellence, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Sr. Electrical System Design Engineer

Location: Newark, CA (On site)

What's the Job?

  • Lead the design of low voltage electrical hardware ECUs for vehicle architecture and power distribution units.
  • Manage the entire hardware development lifecycle from schematic capture to production deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure hardware performance in both bench and vehicle environments.
  • Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve hardware issues during development and production phases.
  • Participate in design reviews, testing, and validation activities to ensure quality and reliability.

What's Needed?

  • Proven experience in automotive low voltage electronics design and bringing hardware into production.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals and hardware development processes.
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience in automotive electronics design.
  • Proficiency with schematic capture tools, PCB layout, and signal integrity simulation tools.
  • Experience using oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers for high-speed signal analysis and debugging.
