Pay Range: $20 - $23 per hour (W2)

We are seeking a “Laboratory Operations Technician II” to join one of our leading healthcare clients.


Position Overview
As a Laboratory Operations Technician II, you will be a key member of the Internal Component Refurbishment Team, supporting laboratory operations, refurbishment activities, inventory management, equipment maintenance, and testing support using automated molecular platforms.
This role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities
Laboratory Equipment Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Collect assay tray carriers, sample racks, laboratory equipment, and other reusable materials from designated work areas.
  • Clean and sanitize reusable items according to approved procedures and GLP standards.
  • Properly handle, segregate, and label materials to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Inspect cleaned items to ensure they meet reuse requirements.
  • Return cleaned materials to appropriate laboratory locations to support ongoing operations.
Sample Handling & Testing Support
  • Receive, log, and track swab samples generated during refurbishment activities.
  • Prepare and load samples onto automated molecular testing platforms.
  • Dispose of samples and consumables following approved safety and compliance procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of sample processing, testing activities, and results.
  • Ensure traceability, accuracy, and data integrity throughout all testing activities.
  • Collaborate with refurbishment and laboratory operations teams to support efficient workflows and timely testing completion.
Project Support
  • Execute project-related tasks independently or with minimal supervision.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational projects.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and assist with implementation.
  • Document, track, and communicate project progress and outcomes.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to follow laboratory procedures and documentation requirements.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing more than 20 pounds.
  • Ability to perform hands-on laboratory tasks for extended periods.
Preferred Skills
  • Laboratory operations or laboratory support experience.
  • Experience handling samples, laboratory equipment, or testing processes.
  • Familiarity with GLP (Good Laboratory Practices).
  • Experience working with automated laboratory instruments or molecular testing platforms.
