Maintenance Inventory Technician

Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing industry, is seeking an Maintenance Inventory Technician to join their team in Cordova, IL. As a Maintenance Inventory Technician, you will be part of the engineering/maintenance support team, focusing on organizing spare parts inventory and accurately documenting equipment information. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, initiative, and a proactive approach to support operations effectively and efficiently.

Job Title: Maintenance Inventory Technician

Location: Cordova, IL (Onsite, M-F, Standard Working Hours)

Pay Rate: $20/HR + Benefits

Contract Duration: 6-Months W2 Contract

Job Functions:

• Organize and sort spare parts inventory to ensure easy access and proper storage.
• Accurately identify and record part numbers, serial numbers, and manufacturer information for equipment components.
• Maintain and update inventory records using Microsoft Excel to ensure data accuracy.
• Participate in safety and regulatory training to uphold plant safety standards.
• Assist in documenting equipment information and support maintenance activities with minimal supervision.

What's Needed?

• At least 2 years of experience in a maintenance support, production, or inventory-related role within a manufacturing environment (chemical manufacturing experience preferred).
• Previous experience as a maintenance helper or in a production setting is advantageous.
• Basic mechanical aptitude, including the ability to identify parts and components on industrial equipment such as pumps and motors.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately document information.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills, especially proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
